Client Minimum Installation Requirements

By installing the CPS Remote Access Client you are accepting all terms and conditions of Check Point's Software Licensing Agreement.

Platforms Supported


  • Intel® or AMD® Dual-Core or equivalent processor
  • 2GB of RAM (4GB recommended)

Minimum OS Requirements

Note: SSL Network Extender is not supported on 64-bit browsers on Windows OS prior to Windows 8. SSL Network Extender is supported on 64-bit IE 10 in Windows 8.

  • XP Home and Professional (SP2, SP3) (32-bit and 64-bit)
  • Vista (SP1) (32-bit and 64-bit)
  • Windows 7 (including SP1) Ultimate, Enterprise, Professional, and Home (32-bit and 64-bit)
  • Windows 8 (all versions and editions, not including Windows RT)
  • Windows 8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit)

 Minimum Internet Browser

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.0 or later (No 64-bit browser support)
  • Firefox 3.0 or later
  • Java 7 or higher (32-bit Only) – Required if using a browser other than Internet Explorer.

Apple Macintosh:

  • Intel Processor
  • 1024MB of RAM (2GB recommended)
  • 170MB of available hard-disk space

  • Mac OS X 10.6 (32-bit and 64-bit)
  • Mac OS X 10.7 (32-bit and 64-bit)
  • Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) (64-bit)
  • Mac OS X 10.9.5
  • Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite), 10.10.2
  • Mac OS X 10.10.11 El Capitan – not supported

Minimum Internet Browser

  • Firefox 3.0 or later
  • Safari 2.0.2 or later - User must use Firefox 3.0 or later to connect with 10.6.8.
  • Java 7 or higher

Network Equipment and Firewalls
The Remote Access system is a web-based solution that will work with all standard network equipment and firewalls. Customer-owned equipment needs to be set to allow HTTPS traffic (port 443) for proper functionality. This is a standad configuration on most network equipment today. If you have issues accessing Remote Access Services, check to make sure TCP port 443 is allowed to the Internet as part of your troubleshooting.
